How to Measure a Recess Fit Zebra Blind

Important steps to follow when measuring Recess Fit Zebra Blinds.

Print out Blinds Downunder measuring form or download Blinds Downunder measuring form for computer or device, from our website, to document blind measurements and details.

Use a metal tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is taught when taking measurements.

Always write down the width measurement first and then the drop measurement second on all blinds.

Only write measurements down in millimetres.

Write down the preferred motor side on each individual blind.

Document the smallest measurement of three spot measurements for width and drop. Our manufacturer will allow for all appropriate deductions. These measurements are visible under the exact measurement you provide us.

Always double check measurements with the measurements you have written down.

Watch for protruding door or window hardware that might interfere with Zebra Blind operation. The fabric is looped meaning it operates from the front and back of the blind tube. The minimum depth measurement for recess fit Zebra Blind is 50mm to allow solid bracket fixing. Brackets require 10mm gap behind the C70 cassette for installation purposes. The Zebra Blind C70 cassette pelmet will protrude out past the architraves approximately 57mm (40mm in recess and 57mm out), your architrave will most likely reduce the protrusion to 37mm.
